1. Yeommae Market Tteokjeon Pork Alley

Yeommae Market is located behind of Dong-A Shopping and Hyundai Department store. Beautifully decorated rice cakes are displayed on the outside table of the stores catching tourists’ eyes. There are 37 rice cake shops here currently. Boiled pork, a must-have food for traditional parties, is another main item in this market.

2. Seomun Market Noodle Soup Alley

Seomun Market is known for its noodle vendors standing in rows in the middle of the market street. Not only that, there are about 10 restaurants Noodles, selling boiled barley and green onion pancakes in a narrow alley behind Seonam building. When it’s peak time, they sold more than 100 noodles during lunch time.

 3. Gyo-dong Market Eatery Alley

Gyodong Market was the center of the city in 60s and 70s. 60. Daegu’s representative foods such as squid fries, spicy fish ball, flat dumpling had its beginnings in this market. 

Muchimhoe, sliced raw fish mixed with various vegetables, hot pepper paste, and spices, was also one the most famous food in this market but these days, only several restaurants are existed.
