[Press article] The 2nd Annual Hunt for Freedom, for abolishing child sex slavery and exploitation.

Looking for something fun and a little crazy to do this weekend? Mark July 6th in your calendars because the 2nd Annual ‘Hunt for Freedom’ is fast approaching, and you definitely don’t want to miss out on this fun filled day!

Following the success of last year’s scavenger hunt, The Dynamic Daegu Task Force is working together with Love146, in the hopes of raising more money, having more fun, and getting more awareness out there for their cause. Love 146 is an international organization aimed at abolishing child sex slavery, and human trafficking. Each month a group of local teachers meet up to read articles, watch video clips, and discuss the issues surrounding modern day slavery. Their goals are to raise awareness for this issue, and work together to try and combat the rise in child sex slavery. Their current goal is to try and raise $1000 for the Love146 cause.

With your help they can achieve this. To take part in the scavenger hunt to end all scavenger hunts, simply find a team of 3-4 people and send an email to dynamicdaegu146@gmail.com with your team name and a list of team members. Registration fee per member is 10,000won.

As for the event itself, things will begin and end at everyone’s favorite ex-pat haunt, Traveler’s Bar and Grill. Prior to the scavenger hunt, at 1:30pm, we will be hosting a brief presentation about Love146 for anyone interested in learning more.  Following that, teams will need to arrive no later than 2:30pm to check-in and pick-up their scavenger hunt packages and then after a quick briefing on the event rules, it’s time to play!  During the ‘Hunt for Freedom’, you will have two hours to find, collect, and take pictures of different objects and complete various tasks around downtown Daegu. Leave your inhibitions at home, it’s all about getting wild and weird… for a very worth cause! Following the hunt, while scores are being tallied, there will be a raffle draw (because what charity event would be complete without one?) and the local Quizics team will host a round of pub quiz for additional fun and prizes.  Winners will be announced following the quiz, with all of the day’s events wrapping up by about 7pm.

So why not enjoy a day in the sun with your friends, and do something worthwhile at the same time? Come and join us at Traveler’s on July 6th, at 1.30pm!
