[Restaurant/Press article] Café Ki&Ki

Located in Sangin-dong, Ki&Ki is a gem of a café, that is a must visit if you’re in the area, and on the look out for some home made treats and a cozy atmosphere to waste away the afternoon in.

Somewhat hidden away despite being on the main street, it is quite easy to miss if you’re not looking, but the home-made dessert sign is sure to catch any eager foodie’s eye. A warm but clean and minimal environment meets you once you step inside, with crisp and calming colors, and décor throughout.

More than this, however, Ki&Ki succeeds in living up to it’s tagline of being a homemade dessert café. They offer a selection of scrumptious desserts to choose from. Including a variety of pies, cheesecake, and my favorite menu item the luscious tiramisu. Finding dessert that lives up to our Western standards in Korea can be a difficult feat sometimes, but Ki&Ki do not disappoint! The pies have thick, crumbly bases, while the fillings are creamy and mouthwatering. The tiramisu offers a rollercoaster of taste sensations, bitter dark chocolate, and creamy milk chocolate. A new edition, that my friends and I have perhaps taken slightly too much liking too, is the banana cake. Words cannot do it justice, just trust me that it is well worth a visit to Ki&Ki just for a single taste of this alone.

The drinks are also very satisfying, and Ki&Ki have a wide variety of both hot and cold beverages for you to choose from. In particular the ice teas, juices, or smoothies are a good choice, if only for the kitsch glass bottles they arrive in.

Prices are very affordable for the quality of drinks and desserts offered. Most drinks range from 4-,000 – 6,000 won. While desserts are between 4,000 and 5,000 won.

Overlooking the street below, Ki&Ki is the perfect place to get some work done, indulge in some alone time with a book, or enjoy an hour or two with someone special.

To find Café Ki&Ki, take exit 7 from Sangin Station. Walk straight past the Himart and KFC, and the café is on your left up a small set of stairs immediately after the shoe store.
