The hats and gloves are finally being left at the back of the cupboard and spring is arriving which bring with it not only cherry blossoms but new Daegu arrivals. It’s the time of year when Daegu is lucky enough to greet many new foreigners to its city limits.
There are many great places to visit in Daegu but if you are looking for a special way to celebrate your arrival (or just the end of a long winter) why not head to a Daegu institution.

If you have been in Daegu for a while you may be familiar with this place or maybe you have heard people talk about it but aren’t too sure about the details.
Boccaccio Brau is a restaurant and brewery at the base of a hotel. On Saturday evenings a special evening is held. The evening starts with you paying a one off price. You are then entitled to drink and eat as much as your heart desires.

The food choices are vast from fresh crab and steaks to sushi, pizza and pad Thai. There is also a selection of desserts. The drinks provided include three types of draft beer (Stout, Honey Brown Ale and Weizen), Max, white wine or red wine and of course soft drinks. You get your glass at the start of the night and just keep filling it up until closing time. The servers are very friendly and will never question the amount of visits you make to refill.

As well as the wide range of food and bottomless drinks there is live entertainment.
A 6 piece band sings English classics as well as modern day hits and will have everyone up on the dance floor.

The benefit of this place is that it can cater for large groups and birthdays. Long tables can be booked before hand to make sure you can squeeze all your friends in.
During the week the Boccaccio Brau also functions as a restaurant and bar but Saturdays you can get this great deal and pay a one of price and it includes your drink.
The price for the night is 29,000 won for adults.

If you do have small children there is a play area and also a nanny cam showed on TV screen in the restaurant for you to see what those little critters are up to.
The Boccaccio does get busy so make sure you book ahead. The booking agent speaks quite good English and they are always very accommodating.

If you are looking for a place to meet up with your new friends and party the night away in style then this is the place for you.
