Before I came to Korea I made the crazy decision to dye my hair blonde. Little did I know that getting your roots dyed blonde in Korea is extremely hard. After some research, which included me bugging anyone I found with blonde hair, I discovered Kukje’s hair salon.
Kukje’s in an extremely popular hairdressers located near Camp Walker. Not only does Kukje do fantastic blonde hair highlights for western hair but she also does a great cut, blow-dry, hair manicures, and everything else you can think of at a great price. Sometimes it can be scary to trust someone with your hair but Kukje is friendly, kind and very patient.
For your roots to be highlighted you are looking at 50,000 won. A Hair manicure, which is a new salon craze, will leave your hair feeling soft and silky for weeks to come and starts at 15,000 won.
She is a busy lady so make sure you contact her soon to make an appointment.
How to get there:
Take the 순환3, 349, 400, 452 or 730 to The Palace Hotel bus stop. Walk up the hill to the closest junction. Cross over the junction and take the far right hand turning. Walk straight; you should pass a large pet store on your right and antique shops on you left. Keeping walking straight unun you reach the first left hand turn. There is a yellow and black real estate agent and next to that is Kukje’s hair salon.
