Emergency Protocols- National Grid Korea

It's summer and a lot of people are going hiking in the mountains. So there are concerns for people getting lost. Now there are signs posted all around. These are there for you to call (Emergency Telephone Number in Korea: 119) if you are lost and need help.

Right now these are set up on, ChoRye Mountain, ByeongPoong Mountain, CheongRyong Mountain, Hamji Mountain and 63 other mountain areas. The signs will be in bright yellow so you can't miss it.

On the sign there are two Korean letters and numbers, that is the information you need for the emergency operator to find you, the Korean letters are written in English as well so you don't have to worry about reading Korean. There is also a QR code on the sign if you have a hard time telling the operator where you are.

They are installing more than 1,400 signs all over Korea to make sure that people are safe so, I hope you travel safely and if you are in need you know what to do.
