Learn Korean Percussion, 'Samul-nori', at Daegu Arts Center!

The Arts Academy, hosted by Daegu Arts Center, accepts applications from September 1st.

The Samul-nori class was first opened in April last year and is composed of students from various countries including USA, Canada, UK, etc. Samul-nori class is held once a week and lasts for 70 minutes. In the upcoming semester, Samul-nori class will be open only to foreigners and students are expected to perform at the stage after three months practice.

What is samul-nori? Samul nori is a genre of percussion music originating in Korea. The word samul means "four objects" and nori means "play"; Samul nori is performed with four traditional Korean musical instruments.
