5 Fun Winter Activities to Do in Daegu, Korea

5 Ways to Enjoy the Winter in Daegu

Instead of hibernating all winter, pull on your mittens, get out of the house, and enjoy everything that Daegu has to offer.
From outdoor activities to lounging all day at a Korean spa, here are five ways to make the most of the winter months.

 [Embrace the Cold]

Sometimes, the best thing to do when the weather is cold is to embrace all the fun activities that make winter bearable.

Go ice sledding at 'Suseong’s Ice Slope', 'Hillcrest Sled Park', 'Spa Valley', or at 'E-World’s sled park'.
If you missed the seasonal outdoor skating rink on the Sincheon River, you can keep warm and enjoy a day of skating at one of 'Daegu’s indoor ice rinks.'

On a sunny day, hit the slopes of nearby Apsan, where you’ll find Daegu’s beautiful hiking trails less crowded and more beautiful because of it.

 [Keep it Cozy]

Is there anything more comforting on a cold day than a hot bowl of soup or a steaming cup of coffee? Daegu’s cafe scene is bursting with options and are some of the coziest spots to be during the winter.

'Kim Kwang-Seok Road' has a plethora of charming spots to choose from, as does 'Apsan’s Cafe Street', with its view of the mountains and variety of shops.

If you find yourself hungry for more than cafe fare, try a bowl of Vietnamese soup, tofu stew, or one of Daegu’s local food specialties.
