Daegu's Largest Herb Garden, Hillcrest

Hillcrest (aka Herbhillz) is the largest herb garden in Daegu. With over 30 acres of trees and plants, getting lost here doesn’t seem like a bad idea. (Fun fact: it has been managed by the same family for 3 generations.)

While you’re lost, there are tons of things you can get yourself into. You can strap up and glide through the trees via zip line, you can take a stroll down the zoo land to play with the animals, barbeque, camp out in a tent, attend a DIY class, or just embrace the beauty of nature.

Of course that is just a small fraction of the activities available. Last month when I was still working as a teacher, my school took a field trip here and everyone had a blast. It is a very popular area for school trips as on any given day you can see children of all ages walking around. On weekdays, the area is pretty quiet and some of the food stands are closed but on the weekends everything is open for grabs. If you’re looking to kick back in nature, this is definitely the place for you. I even heard that in the winter, you can sled! I can’t wait to try that out.
