Korean Proficiency Test: What is TOPIK, Registeration and Sample Test

If you have been working on your Korean skill, it's time to measure how much you have improved! TOPIK is a standardized test for foreigners to test their proficiency in Korean. If you are thinking to get a job in Korea, this might really boost your resume. As you might be able to guess, TOPIK stands for Test of Proficiency In Korean. There are 2 levels available and you can take one in total 265 centers in and outside Korea. 44 test sites are available in Korean and 221 more in other 72 countries! In Daegu, you can take one at Keimyung Uni(Sungseo) Registration for Oct 22 test is now open! There are only two dates left for this year. The final exam is scheduled around Nov 18 -19. If you think you are not ready yet, aim for next year's! 

What does TOPIK look like?

- TOPIK I: Listening / Reading
- TOPIK II: Listening / Reading / Writing

■ Time
- TOPIK I: 9:50 - 11:00 (until 9:20)
- TOPIK II: 12:50 - 16:30 (until 12:20)

How do I apply? 

If you can understand this meaning, you should apply now! 

1. Test Date: October 22, 2017 (South Korea)
2. Registration Date: Aug 14, 09:00 ~ Aug 23, 14:00
3. Result Announcement: November 30
4. How to register: online or walk-in
5. Registeration Fee: TOPIKⅠ(1st ~ 2nd grade) 35,000 won / TOPIKⅡ(3rd ~ 6th grade) 40,000 won
6. Refund Period: 2017. 8. 14 ~ 2017. 10. 21 13:00 (Processing fee may be charged depending on dates)
7. Edit personal information and photo: until October 17
* It is impossible to change personal information and photos after Oct 17.
8. Admission Ticket available for printing after Oct 10, 10:00 – Oct 22
*You have to bring your ticket at test location.
9. Note:
- Online registration is available only for taking the test in Korea.
- If you do not pay during the registration period, you will not be able to take the exam.
- A test center may be closed or changed early depending on the circumstances of the center
- You cannot change a test center after the registration period
- If you do not register your photo, you will not be able to take the exam.
- On the day of the test, you need your ID card. (Passport, alien registration card, etc.)
